John and the author grew up in Austin, Texas, during the late ‘40s through the early ‘60s. They both had strong, loving, and faithful parents to guide them. They experienced exciting and sometimes dangerous things in high school. They had their own set of highs and lows, joys and tragedies, successes and failures.
They dealt with a death of a young friend; completed high school and college; had a long-distance separation; married to first cousins; joined various business encounters; conquered addictions; raised children; faced divorces, remarriage, and blended families; had been tested of their faith in God; and so many more.
Other close family and friends are proudly included in this memoir since they all have helped to mold and support the two friends through their ups and downs, trials and triumphs.
While their friendship has had adventure, danger, business dealings, stresses and strains, and fun and laughter, these men have maintained an admiration for one another and a bond that’s strong as steel.
Witness how their friendship blossomed through the years—and continues to grow even until today—as you follow their story.
